SPERNALL

Start time 10.00am

Led by Lorna & Lynn

The meet up point will be the Haydon Woods Car Park on Spernall Lane just north of Coughton Court and just south of Studley. This walk initially takes us in an easterly direction into the Warwickshire countryside and then loops around the edge of Spernall Park Woods and winds down to Coughton Ford before following the River Arrow back up to our starting  point. This is a walk of approximately 6.5 miles over fairly easy terrain - gentle inclines giving us long reaching views over the Warwickshire and Worcestershire countryside. There is one small flight of steep steps but no stiles.

Directions:  From Evesham follow the A46 north until you are just north of Alcester where you link onto the A435 to Coughton - go passed Coughton Court, continue up the hill towards Studley and just as the speed limit changes to 30 mph at the edge of Studley turn right onto Spernall Lane - the car park is about half a mile along this lane. Postcode: B80 7EX.

Car parking is free but there is a donation box towards Heart of England Forest.

For those who would like to have lunch a table will be reserved at The Throckmorton Pub which is on the A435 just up the hill from Coughton Court.
