The Shakespeare group (The Shakespeareans) meets on the first and third Monday afternoon each month at 2.00p.m. The venue is the Function Room at the Evesham Rowing Club, accessed from Abbey Road. There is capacious free parking on site.
The Group has recently started reading/studying King Henry VI Part 2. The sessions are as informal as we can make them, and our aim is to make our Shakespearean 'studies' as enjoyable as possible.
Our second activity is to go to performances of Shakespeare plays, and for the most part these have been - and will continue to be - 'streamings' to our local theatres/cinemas such as Number 8 in Pershore, with occasional trips to 'live' theatre performances, although this part or our activities has not yet recovered from the enforced COVID break.
New enquiries from members are welcome, and we are presently just below our maximum which means that we have vacancies, so if you are interested, please get in touch. However, when the Waiting List is in operation, we are very happy for anyone on that List, or indeed any other u3a Member to join us for the trips to performances - and some have signed up only to do that.
