Winter Recess
Architecture has restarted with the summer weather creeping in, slowly, but the sun is trying.
We now have a provisional programme (below) until October. Mostly these are the first Monday of each month, except when that's a bank holiday. There are some details that still need dicussion. This webpage will be updated when details are confirmed.
Some sessions are free, some have admission costs or a fee for a professional guide.

| 2026 | Destination | Provisional programme for 2026 | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| April 27th | Beckford Church | The Romans were in Beckford, followed by the Anglo-Saxons, then the Normans. The Domesday Book records 34 villagers, 17 smallholders, 16 slaves, 33 plough teams, a mill and a church. There has been a church in Beckford for 900 years, the current one dated circa 1130-35. There is strong Norman influence, and many mysterious carvings. | TBA |
| May | No meeting | The first Monday of May is a bank holiday, so we do not meet on that day. The meeting on April 27th replaces that. | TBA |
| June 1st | Stanton | Stanton was an established settlement in the ninth century, and probably long before. It is now abundant with buildings of interest from mediaeval times onward. | TBA |
| July 6th | Worcester | Guided walk | TBA |
| August 3rd | Droitwich Catholic Church | Droitwich Catholic Church has outstanding mosaics. | TBA |
| September 7th | Warwick | Guided tour | TBA |
| October 5th | Stratford | Guided tour | TBA |
| Winter | There are no plans for the winter at present. |
