Unfortunately we have temporarily suspended our group activities due to a problem with the venue.
Welcome to Evesham & district U3A Short Mat Bowls. We play at Norton & Lenchwick village hall off Kings Road, Norton. The hall is very spacious and has good facilities including a large car park. We have a number of spaces for new members, so please enquire.
As we play indoors, we generally play throughout the year, but there may be the occasional cancellation for leaders' holidays and when we have such bad weather that we are unable to get in the car park.
Short Mat Bowls 1 plays in the morning of the second and fourth Thursdays 10am -12 noon (Short Mat Bowls 2 plays in the afternoon on the same day). You do need to be able to bend your back, and get down fairly easily. We have a selection of different size bowls to suit everyone, and apart from a pair of flat shoes for walking on the mat everything is supplied. We have a chat and a laugh and nobody takes it too seriously.
