Unfortunately we have temporarily suspended our group activities due to a problem with the venue.
Welcome to Evesham & district U3A Short Mat Bowls. We play at Norton & Lenchwick village hall off Kings Road Norton. The hall is very spacious and has good facilities including a large car park.
As we play indoors, we play throughout the year and the only time we have to cancel a game is when we have such bad weather that we are unable to get in the car park.
Short Mat Bowls 2 plays in the afternoon of the second and fourth Thursdays (Short Mat Bowls 1 plays in the morning on the same day). You do need to be able to bend your back, and get down fairly easily. We have a selection of different size bowls to suit everyone, and apart from a pair of flat shoes for walking on the mat everything is supplied. We have a chat and a laugh and nobody takes it too seriously. Coaching can be given.
