Events from u3a Evesham and District

Our monthly meetings with a guest speaker, are free to members and held on the first Wednesday of the month in the Evesham Methodist Church, followed by free tea and biscuits. Dates can be listed here for other u3a organised events as well as non-u3a Social Events in our area which may be of interest to our members. Email Events with your event details for listing.

Members can also access a wide range of free online talks, workshops, and courses through the On-line Learning events which are organized by the National u3a, see list below.

Silver Jubilee

As part of our Silver Jubilee celebrations we will be having a Picnic in Abbey Park. Bring your chairs, blankets and picnic. Why not dress up to represent your group. We hope to have some of our performing groups livening things up.

Silver Jubilee

A discovery walk open to all members. On Tuesday 23 June 2026, as part of the Evesham u3a Silver Jubilee celebrations, Chris is leading an Evesham Heritage Walk, starting at the Almonry Museum. This event is open to all Evesham u3a members, but booking is essential due to the limitation on numbers. There will be two identical walks starting at 10.30am or 1.30pm. You can book with Chris Wolstencroft via email by clicking his name or from the Archaeology webpage for the walk of your choice.

Silver Jubilee

As part of the Evesham u3a Silver Jubilee celebrations, an afternoon Walking Jamboree will be organized, open to all Evesham u3a members. This walk is scheduled for Thursday 25 June 2026. The 1.5 miles walk will start from Oat Street car park at 2.15 pm. The route leads along the east side of Vine Street, around Merstow Green, down Boat Lane and along the river bank to Abbey Park, where the event will finish with ice creams. We are planning to identify walkers with rosettes or ribbons and are hoping for publicity in the local press.

If you are a member of a walking group, please tell your group leader that you wish to attend. Any other members please email me John Alexander-Head or via the ‘Walks over 4 Miles’ webpage so I know to expect you.

The Evesham Community Chamber Orchestra and the Evesham u3a Concert Band will be performing at the Evesham Baptist Church providing some musical entertainment for the Summer season.
