Board games is a small group. No formality, no experience required - we just play, socialise and have fun. We play diplomacy, trading, puzzle, and strategy games. Find out more in our Board Games group YouTube video and email Peter Aggett for the latest information.
Board games are a great way of keeping the brain active
We play a range of games of different genres, styles, themes and settings, also dice games, card games, tile-laying games, and games of dexterity. Our "go-to" reference, the BoardGameGeek online community, explains there are "economic games, dungeon crawls, city building, diplomacy and negotiation, trading, puzzle games, strategy games, party games, war games, and many more." Winning usually relies more on good strategy and planning than luck. Better known examples are Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride. We often play a new game each session, as well as something more familiar.
