ILMINGTON

Start time 10.00am

Led by Dave S

A 5 mile walk with great views. Starting from the Howard Arms pub (CV36 4LT) at Ilmington- permission for parking in pub car park given - we walk steadily uphill through the village. Our 856 feet ascent continues to the highest point in Warwickshire that straddles the Warwickshire/Gloucestershire border, on Ilmington Down. We then continue towards Ebrington, before bearing off through woodland and then descending along a tarmac track, until we return to Ilmington ascending steadily along the Centenary Way.

The walking is mostly along hard tracks/paths, with some field walking and 1 stile.

The pub will be open at 10.00am and toilets are available. A table is also available for anyone wanting drinks/lunch from 1pm.

Leave Evesham along the A46 then follow signs through Badsey and onto Western sub Edge. Turn left and follow signs into Mickleton and drive through the main street of the village to a mini-roundabout then follow signs to Ilmington. Go through outskirts of Ilmington and at a T junction turn right and go into the village proper. The pub is on the right by the lower green.
