The group started in January 2024. We meet fortnightly on Monday afternoons from 2.00 to 3.30. Currently, we meet at the Strawberry Field pub in Evesham. There is no charge at the moment but we each buy a drink as a gesture of good faith.
We run our group collaboratively with the help of some more expert members from other groups who kindly take it in turns to keep us on track with pronunciation and so on. We use the BBC's Talk Spanish books and CDs as a starting point but our main aim is to practise speaking as much as possible. Members of our group often bring an activity to the session for us all to try, such as reading an account of a holiday or some tongue twisters.
We have been going a little while now so we aren't complete beginners but if you have a little Spanish and would like to improve, you'd be welcome. Contact Millie Chadwick to register your interest and for more information.
