New Group, Dressmaking!

This exciting new group was launched on Open Day, 1st November 2023. During our first six months we went from strength to strength and it has been so popular that we are now running it twice a month.

Do you have a sewing machine sitting at home collecting dust? Whether you are new to dressing making or have experience you would be welcome to join us. We now meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month between 1:30pm-4:00pm at the village hall in Offenham. Numbers are limited to 12. I have broken the sessions into periods for example, January - April and May - July.

The cost needs to cover hall hire so depends on number attending but is currently running at about £3 per session including tea/coffee and biscuits/cake.

I have been sewing on and off most of my life. I spent several years attending night school for dressmaking. For the past year I have undertaken a diploma in dressmaking, learning many new skills. If you are happy to work from a commercial pattern, I will guide you on how to get the best fit from your pattern, and examples being insert zips and adding pockets.
