We enjoy a monthly get together to discus a chosen book. The books are chosen by the members and are voted for on a points basis. Each member suggests a book anonymously. Each title is put forward for everyone to award points for it. The titles with the most points become the next six month programme. The only stipulation is that the book must be available in paperback but some of our members do use Kindle.

It usually results in an eclectic mix of fiction and non-fiction, classic and contemporary and anything in-between. Almost everyone welcomes the opportunity to read a book that they would not necessarily choose themselves.

Some of the books we have read and discussed include "Jane Austen (a biography)" by Carol Shields; "The Thursday Murder Club" by Richard Osman; "Because of You" by Dawn French; "Blackberry Wine" by Joanne Harris.

Anyone interested in joining this group, please email Christine Spriggs We are quite full but if there is enough demand our Groups Co-ordinator can start another group.
