Conductor: Marin Alsop
Soloist: Esther Yoo (Violin)
- Leonard Bernstein: Serenade
- Mahler: Symphony No 6 (The one with the Big Hammer!)
You may know that the Philharmonia is one of our leading British orchestras, founded in 1945 and based at the Royal Festival Hall in London and Marin is something of a superstar conductor, with frequent appearances at the BBC Proms.
On this occasion, because we wanted to get three concerts into our pre-Christmas Programme, time is very short, and we need to pay the Box Office for our tickets by 15th October – so please book early. Choir seats are not available for this performance. Our usual heavily discounted ticket prices are also not available for this concert.
We operate on a strictly break-even basis as we always do. In view of the shortage of time, we have decided on this occasion to combine the ‘booking’ and ‘paying’ so if you are planning to join us, please get your payment in as soon as convenient.
For the travel-inclusive ticket price; travel arrangements; payment details; any other questions please contact David Daniels by email or phone 01386 424640.
Looking forward to hearing from you – and to joining you for this wonderful Concert in November.
