How can you get involved in walking cricket in Evesham?

Join us on Tuesday afternoons upstairs in the sports hall at Wallace House. There are about 10 hubs around the county run by Worcestershire Cricket, including Evesham which the u3a supports, so as well as contacting our members you can find out more from their community manager Elsa-Marie Evans. Evesham Walking Cricket team 2022

Our first competitive tournament. Evesham u3a members from left, Chris, Tony, Dave, Anthea, Penka, Steve, Ally (and Alan).

We play at walking pace. We keep fit and active and it's great if you haven't played cricket for a while, and for new players. At our weekly fun games we are coached by professional staff in cricket skills. It's an inclusive version of cricket, we are male and female players of all ages and abilities. Little wins are celebrated, a member who hasn't taken a catch before is congratulated.

Worcestershire's County Walking Cricket team facing Yorkshire u3a

Worcestershire sends a team to play other Counties (like Yorkshire u3a), and to play in tournaments against other Counties at Lords.

We demonstrate the game during mid-week county championship matches at Worcestershire County Cricket Club - and receive a complimentary ticket for the match.
